God always has a plan ...
and He always has a man

Part Eight

Bobby G. Richardson

In our last study, we started an over view of the Major Messianic Prophet (Isaiah) of the Old Testament .. specifically the documentation in 11 Chapters (Chapters 41, 43, 44, 47, 48, 49, 53, 54, 59, 60, and 63) which prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the coming MESSIAH ... REDEEMER ... SAVIOUR would be none other than Jehovah/God, Himself. We left off with Isaiah Chap 59, and will pick up with ..

Isaiah Chapter 60
... 9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. (This is unquestionably Jehovah/God) ... 14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. (This is unquestionably Jehovah/God) ... 16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. (This is unquestionably Jehovah/God) ... 19-20 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. (This is unquestionably Jehovah/God) Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. (This is unquestionably Jehovah/God)

Isaiah Chapter 63 ... 1-16 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth. I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses. (This is unquestionably Jehovah/God) For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour. In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them. Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him? That led them by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name? That led them through the deep, as an horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble? As a beast goeth down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name. (This is unquestionably Jehovah/God) Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward me? are they restrained? Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting. (This is unquestionably Jehovah/God)

The Jews were waiting and looking for the promised Messiah. Some, indeed, saw Him and acknowledged Him as such, but the vast majority rejected Him altogether. It may have been because they were looking for Messiah to come in all the glory and majesty of an earthly king, to sit upon an earthly throne and rule over Israel, and set them free from Roman control, and be a great military leader. But, they missed their "golden opportunity" because they did NOT recognize the day of their "visitation". The same is true today. We may be living in a different time, but people are still very much the same as when Jesus walked the sandy shores of Galilee. Many people today do not know who Jesus "really" is, just as was the case 2,000 years ago. In the past 20+ years of pretty intense study, research and discussing Scirptures with many, many different people of many different beliefs, I have found that (besides those of us who embrace the Apostles One God Monotheistic Doctrine, as preached, practiced and taught by the "foot print followers" of our Lord Jesus, as documented by the preponderance of Scriptural evidence found written verbatim in the King James Version of the Holy Bible) there are three theories of Christian beliefs and thought: 1) Those who theorize Jesus to be a subordinate, yet co-equal, co-eternal and co-existent member of an unexplainable "union" theory, which originated from the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD; 2) Those who theorize that there are two of ‘em up there ... sort of like a Jehovah, Sr. AND a Jehovah, Jr.; And, 3) Those who believe Jesus was actually Michael the arch-angel, who came down to earth in the form of a man, and the Holy Ghost is God’s "active force". Those who theorize such beliefs, more often than not, don’t use the King James Version of the Holy Bible, OR if they do, use literal interpretations of Scripture to "imply" things NOT found written, and stated of "sound doctrine" ... such as the "right hand of God" being a geographical location "beside" an invisible, omnipotent, omnipresent SPIRIT, instead a place of acceptance, security and authority (as the sheep on the right, and the goats on the left -a place of rejection). At any rate, when literal interpretations are used to "imply" things the Bible doesn’t specifically state, that opens up the door for all sorts of things ... like a literal nose coming down out of the sky and blowing the waters of the Red Sea apart. (see Exodus 15:8 and 2 Samuel 22:16) Furthermore, some believe God has a physical body like us, even though Colossians 1:15 and 1 Timothy 1:17 tells us God is "invisible" AND Jesus, Himself, said in John 1:18 that no man has seen God at any time. Independent Bible study will reveal that the Incarnate Christ was a supernaturally conceived (and born) "SUPER" man who was BOTH God AND man. It was NOT the flesh of the Incarnate Christ which was God. It was SPIRIT of Eternal God which dwelled in that sinless body which was Deity. Jesus was BOTH God AND man ... Lord AND Christ ... Spirit AND flesh ... Alpha AND Omega ... beginning AND end ... the root AND the offspring of David. And, I could go on and on. But, getting back on track about the Messiah ...

John 1:41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

John 4:25-26 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

John 4:42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

Luke 2:25-30 & 36-38 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, ..... And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

While the tabernacle Moses built could ... and did ... contain all of the "qualities" of the SPIRIT, it could not possibly contain all of the "quantity" of the SPIRIT because the SPIRIT was still omnipresent throughout the universe ... not confined to one geographical location. The same is true with the "tabernacle of the flesh". In the King James Version of the Holy Bible, when reference is made to the "Son" (upper case "S"), it is referring to the Incarnation ... the "tabernacle of flesh" (in which "dwelled" the SPIRIT). The real difference between the "tabernacle" Moses built and the "tabernacle of flesh" is: one was an inanimate object, and the other was living, breathing flesh and blood ... which was supernaturally conceived, and born of a virgin. And, when reference is made to "God" ... or the "Father" (upper case "F") ... in the King James Version of the Holy Bible, it is referring to the SPIRIT. With this in mind, for those who can lay aside man-made theory, traditions and indoctrination, it is actually very clear to see and understand the Scriptures regarding the SPIRIT "begetting" the Son ... (the tabernacle of flesh) ... and the SPIRIT "sending" the Son ... (the tabernacle of flesh). Furthermore, since God is Holy AND God is a Spirit ... AND there is ONE Lord, One faith, One baptism, and ONE SPIRIT ..., the Holy Spirit (or the Holy Ghost) cannot possibly be a separate person ... or entity ... other than the Almighty God, Himself. Listen to what Jesus told Nicodemus, while He was standing before him on Earth

John 3:12-21 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. [I’ve never had anyone who believes there’s two or three of ‘em up there to unravel this statement] And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

"There are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are ONE." 1 John 5:7. It does NOT say, "these three "persons" are one" ... AND it does NOT say, "these three are "as" one." The Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost is ONE just as you and I are. One Person can function in more than one capacity: father, son and husband OR teacher, student and administrator.
