| It has been said
that the eyes are the window to the soul. However,
I am convinced that our attitude is a mirror
reflection of whats in our mind. AND that
which is spoken is an expression of what is in
our heart. Which is why its so important
that we guard our mind very carefully. And, that
we "feed" it (dwell on) only good
things, positive things, NOT the negative stuff
that were all bombarded with every day of
our life.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren,
whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are
honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever
things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be
any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on
these things.
Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers,
how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for
out of the abundance of the heart the mouth
speaketh.
2 Corinthians 10:1-5 Now I Paul myself
beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of
Christ, who in presence am base among you, but
being absent am bold toward you: But I beseech
you, that I may not be bold when I am present
with that confidence, wherewith I think to be
bold against some, which think of us as if we
walked according to the flesh. For though we walk
in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For
the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but
mighty through God to the pulling down of strong
holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high
thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge
of God, and bringing into captivity every thought
to the obedience of Christ;
Romans 8:1-9 There is therefore now no
condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the
Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in
Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of
sin and death. For what the law could not do, in
that it was weak through the flesh, God sending
his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and
for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the
righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the
Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind
the things of the flesh; but they that are after
the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be
carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually
minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind
is enmity against God: for it is not subject to
the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then
they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But
ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so
be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if
any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none
of his.
Romans 12:1-21 I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God, which is your reasonable service. And
be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye
may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God. For I say, through the
grace given unto me, to every man that is among
you, not to think of himself more highly than he
ought to think; but to think soberly, according
as God hath dealt to every man the measure of
faith. For as we have many members in one body,
and all members have not the same office: So we,
being many, are one body in Christ, and every one
members one of another. Having then gifts
differing according to the grace that is given to
us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according
to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us
wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on
teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation:
he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he
that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth
mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be without
dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave
to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one
to another with brotherly love; in honour
preferring one another; Not slothful in business;
fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in
hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant
in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of
saints; given to hospitality. Bless them which
persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with
them that do rejoice, and weep with them that
weep. Be of the same mind one toward another.
Mind not high things, but condescend to men of
low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide
things honest in the sight of all men. If it be
possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably
with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not
yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for
it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay,
saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger,
feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so
doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with
good.
Ephesians 4:17-32 This I say therefore,
and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk
not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of
their mind, Having the understanding darkened,
being alienated from the life of God through the
ignorance that is in them, because of the
blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling
have given themselves over unto lasciviousness,
to work all uncleanness with greediness. But ye
have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have
heard him, and have been taught by him, as the
truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the
former conversation the old man, which is corrupt
according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed
in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on
the new man, which after God is created in
righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore
putting away lying, speak every man truth with
his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down
upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let
him labour, working with his hands the thing
which is good, that he may have to give to him
that needeth. Let no corrupt communication
proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good
to the use of edifying, that it may minister
grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy
Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day
of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and
anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put
away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind
one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God for Christ's sake hath
forgiven you.
Philippians 2:1-11 If there be
therefore any consolation in Christ, if any
comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit,
if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that
ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of
one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done
through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of
mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Look not every man on his own things, but every
man also on the things of others. Let this mind
be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who,
being in the form of God, thought it not robbery
to be equal with God: But made himself of no
reputation, and took upon him the orm of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And
being found in fashion as a man, he humbled
himself, and became obedient unto death, even the
death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath
highly exalted him, and given him a name which is
above every name: That at the name of Jesus every
knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things
in earth, and things under the earth; And that
every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 3:15-19 Let us therefore,
as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in
any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall
reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, whereto
we have already attained, let us walk by the same
rule, let us mind the same thing. Brethren, be
followers together of me, and mark them which
walk so as ye have us for an ensample. (For many
walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell
you even weeping, that they are the enemies of
the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction,
whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in
their shame, who mind earthly things.)
Colossians 3:12 Put on therefore, as
the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of
mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind,
meekness, longsuffering;
2 Thelessalonians 2:2 That ye be not
soon shaken in mind, or be troubled,
neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as
from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us
the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love,
and of a sound mind.
Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are
pure: but unto them that are defiled and
unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind
and conscience is defiled.
Hebrews 8:10 For this is the covenant
that I will make with the house of Israel after
those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into
their mind, and write them in their hearts:
and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to
me a people:
James 1:8 A double minded man is
unstable in all his ways.
1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the
loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the
end for the grace that is to be brought unto you
at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1 Peter 3:8 Finally, be ye all of
one mind, having compassion one of another,
love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ
hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves
likewise with the same mind: for he that
hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
1 Peter 5:2 Feed the flock of God which
is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not
by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy
lucre, but of a ready mind;
1 Corinthians 2:1-16 And I, brethren,
when I came to you, came not with excellency of
speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the
testimony of God. For I determined not to know
any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him
crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in
fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my
preaching was not with enticing words of man's
wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of
power: That your faith should not stand in the
wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Howbeit
we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet
not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes
of this world, that come to nought: But we speak
the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden
wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto
our glory: Which none of the princes of this
world knew: for had they known it, they would not
have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is
written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man, the
things which God hath prepared for them that love
him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his
Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea,
the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the
things of a man, save the spirit of man which is
in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man,
but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not
the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is
of God; that we might know the things that are
freely given to us of God. Which things also we
speak, not in the words which man's wisdom
teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth;
comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But
the natural man receiveth not the things of the
Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know them, because they are
spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual
judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of
no man. For who hath known the mind of the
Lord, that he may instruct him? But we
have the mind of Christ.
Peter made many very profound statements under
the anointing power of the Holy Ghost. One such
place is found two verses prior to the New
Testament Plan of Salvation. "Therefore let
all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God
hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified,
both Lord and Christ." Acts 2:36 Many
arent taught Jesus humanity and Deity.
Instead, they theorize separate and distinct
"persons" of God.
